ThinkPad X300, Lenovo’s thinnest laptop, is stylish in design and has 13.3 inches screen. It is an attractive model among the latest laptops.

Design and features
This ThinkPad is equipped with the solid-state hard disk, which consumes very low power. The thin screen has excellent reproductive color display with good brightness and contrast. The screen resolution ranges from 1024 x768 to 1440 x 900. The model provides wide array of recovery facilities. In case of problems, the system can be booted using an emergency operating system.

X300 does not have docking station though USB port supports a VGA output. The notebook laptop model provides facility of 3 USB ports for easier connectivity. One of the good features of this Lenovo model is its battery life. It consists of a six cell battery of a few millimeters thickness and gives life of about eight hours. X300 comes equipped with an internal 3G modem and an in-built DVD writer. The optical drive can be replaced with a three cell battery if additional battery is required.

Specifications
X300 consists of 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SL7100 processor and 64 GB solid-state disk. It is equipped with an Intel X3100 graphic card. The remarkable and attractive 13.3 inch LCD screen has an in-built 1.3 Mpixel web cam. The system comes preloaded with Windows 7. The lightweight laptop 2010 is slim in size, measuring on 317 x 236 x 22 mm together with the three cell battery.

The Good
It is very light, weighing only 1.45kg and is designed based on the traditional Think Pad models. In X300, instead of using traditional hard disk, a solid state hard disk is used to increase the accessing performance and to minimize the faltering effect. This solid state disk also leads to greater battery life.

The Bad
Though it has a lot of advantages, the cost of X300 is quite prohibitive when compared to other models with similar configuration. Due to the usage of static state disk, the storage capacity is unfortunately limited to 64 GB.
