I’m not here to say that backing up your computer is not an essential task but it’s very time consuming to complete these backup if you have a large database on your hard drive. Some of the tips I’ll share with you to keep your computer running as smooth as possible will save you a lot of money in the long run. So let’s get to it!
First off, always install an good Antivirus protection software on your computer. This would act like your first line of defense to virus attack that can potentially wipe out your hard drive. Windows is the most favorite operating system for hackers to build viruses for because of all the loopholes that they can sneak spywares into your computer. I recommend not have only one antivirus program but two to better guard your system.
Second tip is to limit yourself to browsing websites that have the potential to install these malicious viruses and spywares on your computer. If you already have install an Antivirus software on your computer, most of these programs have alert messages that will pop-up on your screen if you just so happen to land on a site that has a spyware installer. Sites that typically have these viruses and spywares are adult sites, warez and some forums.
Third and last tip would be to always keep your computer up to par. What I mean by this is to always complete your basic computer maintenance like DISK CLEANUP and DEFRAG. This helps your computer to run smoothly and you will notice a lot from just these simple maintenance run. If you see that your hard drive is extreme full and you haven’t downloaded any softwares, its could possible be the extra spyware that are installed in your computer. If you notice this, I would immediately run your antivirus program to detect and kill that spyware.
