These features of the internal DVD burner allow it to be more flexible to someone who needs to be mobile or who needs to work on more than one computer. The external DVD burner can just be disconnected from one computer and connected to another in just a few minutes. Also, an external DVD burner can save you the time and headache of installing an internal burner into your computer. I, personally, would prefer to buy an external burner or pay someone else to install an internal one. Whatever choice you make, however, it is wise to do a little research in advance in order to compare quality and price among these devices before you actually buy one.

The Good
It is very light, weighing only 1.45kg and is designed based on the traditional Think Pad models. In X300, instead of using traditional hard disk, a solid state hard disk is used to increase the accessing performance and to minimize the faltering effect. This solid state disk also leads to greater battery life.

The Bad
Though it has a lot of advantages, the cost of X300 is quite prohibitive when compared to other models with similar configuration. Due to the usage of static state disk, the storage capacity is unfortunately limited to 64 GB.
